Thanks to Sopita, children in need in Satipo/Peru eat a daily lunch. In the afternoon, they are helped with their homework, and do puzzles or memory games. Learning and playing with tutors opens a cultural window of opportunity which would otherwise remain closed to the children.

Sopita is an independent association supporting children in need in Peru's rainforest region. In the provincial town of Satipo, Sopita provides children with a healthy lunch and educational support. Donations fully benefit the children of Satipo, without deduction for administrative costs.

We hope to find a sponsor for every child, covering expenses for anti-parasite treatment, anemia and vitamin deficiency affecting many  children. Since March 2008, we have been providing breakfast in addition to lunch, as well as support for buying school uniforms and writing utensils.
